The Folk River: Tales of the Early Scottish Folk Club Scene

with Fraser Bruce

From Skiffle to The Corries, from Woody Guthrie to The Clancy Brothers, by the 1960s the folk club scene was extremely popular and folk song was a form of sing-along entertainment for audiences to join in and be part of. The Folk River covers those early folk club days with a selection of songs and stories from that time, telling the true story of the surge in popularity of folk song in Scotland. Hear about great characters and events and enjoy a singalong with author Fraser Bruce, who will take you back to those fun filled days.

Followed by a live Q&A.
