Edinburgh Writers’ Forum
September Meeting

We are delighted to welcome The Edinburgh Writers’ Forum who reconvene after the summer break with guest speaker writer Jonathan Grimwood and a representative from the Scottish Book Trust.
Jonathan Grimwood was born in Malta, he grew up in the Far East, Britain and Scandinavia. Writes as Jack Grimwood, Jonathan Grimwood, and Jon Courtenay Grimwood. Apart from novels, he writes for magazines and newspapers including The Guardian, The Times, The Telegraph and The Independent. He’s twice won the BSFA Award for Best Novel and been shortlisted for a number of other awards including Le Prix Montesquieu. Jonathan will be speaking about how he manages a multi-genre writing career.
The Scottish Book Trust is a national charity that believes books, reading and writing have the power to change lives. They provide writing programmes for targeted support for authors, enable author visits to schools and communities and offer inspirational writing tips, publishing advice and competitions. Our SBT speaker will talk to us about how they support authors and help writers grow their careers at every stage.
As usual, there will be opportunities to meet and network with other writers over a drink or two, with doors open from 7pm for a 7.30pm kick off.
A booking fee of £1.25 is charged per transaction for online and phone bookings.
