100 years with Hugh MacDiarmid

The Trustees of MacDiarmid’s Brownsbank are delighted to present a centenary celebration of the emergence of Hugh MacDiarmid. 1922 saw the publication of his first poems written in Scots. His influence on Scotland’s literature and culture was immense and continues to shape us.
Please join us for this celebration, with Alan Riach, Sally Magnusson, James Robertson, Gerda Stevenson, and Hugh MacDiarmid!
Music specially composed for the occasion by Neil Sutcliffe and an exhibition of paintings by Alexander Moffat and Ruth Nicol.
A booking fee of £1.25 is charged per transaction for online and phone bookings. If you are a Storytelling Centre Supporter please add a full price ticket to the basket. Your discount will be automatically added at checkout.
