Flustercuck Pamphlet Launch
by Jo Hunter, illustrated by Leigh Simpson

(Tue 6 June: 7:30pm - SOLD OUT)
Join spoken-word jester Jo Hunter and illustrating-gremlin Leigh Simpson as they celebrate the release of their debut poetry pamphlet Flustercuck. Featuring performances from Jo Hunter, Odhran Thomson & Kate Wilson, this is bound to be a memorable evening of innovative, hilarious, heartfelt/heartbreaking and very very queer spoken word.
Jo Hunter (they/them) is an Edinburgh-based writer, theatre-maker and spoken-word artist known for blistering and fast-paced performances that invigorate and entertain their audiences. Their work analyses and discusses queer identity as well as a myriad of other topics including friendship, family, love and lust. Flustercuck is their debut poetry pamphlet that they are incredibly excited-slash-nervous to unveil to the world so if you don’t like it, they might cry. Like, for hours.
Odhran Thomson (he/him) is a poet, performer and habitual apple cart-upsetter. Influenced by his experience of transition in the UK, Odhran creates the perfect balance of witty mischief and thought-provoking reflections on gender, identity and positivity.
Kate Wilson (she/they) takes “writing as therapy” to a whole new level. Originally from Leeds and now studying at the University of Edinburgh, Kate’s work explores their experiences as a d/Deaf young person, complex relationships with family and finding identity in the past. Kate has been writing and performing poetry for just under a year and has since been published in Typewronger Books’ Wrong Directions, The Purposeful Mayonnaise and more.
There will be copies of Flustercuck available to purchase on the night.
