Edinburgh Writers' Forum
November Meeting

(Tue 14 Nov: 7pm)
We've all been to literary events where someone is reading their work or speaking on a panel and really draws us in. We've also been to events that are less compelling. Reading and public speaking is unavoidable for writers nowadays, and requires a very different skill set to sitting down in front of a screen to write.
Regular Forum attendee Jen Hyatt is an award-winning writer and performer, stand-up comedian and co-host of the popular podcast Two Lit Chicks. She has trained in acting and advanced presentation skills and has been a keynote speaker at multiple events including TEDMed, Davos, and Wired.
For the November edition of the Edinburgh Writers' Forum, Jen will discuss techniques and skills for speaking and presenting that writers can use and develop followed by a workshop to put these into practice. Willing volunteers should bring work to read from in order to develop their skills with constructive feedback from Jen.
A booking fee of £1.25 applies to phone and online bookings.
