Mexico, Sweden, Indonesia, Iran, Chile… The ninth volume of From Arthur’s Seat is a diverse collection of writing by emerging talent, writers from around the world brought together in Scotland’s UNESCO City of Literature.
The eclectic interests, biographies and backgrounds of our authors make for an exciting collage of prose, poetry and everything in between. A cursed woman sees the strongest memories of others. A waitress finds out that Elvis is allergic to peanuts. Who is filling his backyard with cake during the pandemic? Every aspect of the production of the 2024 anthology is the result of the hard work of the University of Edinburgh’s Creative Writing Masters students. The volume is the biggest in the series and will be the first to tour outside of Edinburgh.
