Don’t miss the next fantastic show from Scotland’s best spoken word night! From the laugh-out-loud funny, through the wonderfully surreal, to the thoughtful and emotional: Loud Poets continues to prove that spoken word offers something for everyone.

Dominic Berry was 2017 Glastonbury Festival Poet in Residence, winner of the 2020 and 2017 Saboteur ‘Best Spoken Word Artist’ award, and has toured his verse from North and South America to Australia and New Zealand.

Natalie Jayne Clark is a neurodivergent poet, writer, and editor based in Perth, Scotland. She is a regular writer and editor for SNACK Magazine and Assistant Producer of StAnza Poetry Festival. Her debut novel, The Malt Whisky Murders is being published by Polygon early 2025.

Hannah Lavery is a poet and playwright and the current Makar (poet laureate) for the City of Edinburgh. Hannah is co-host of feminist arts podcast QuineCast and a former Associate Artist at National Theatre Scotland who has written for a wide range of Theatre companies, broadcasters and publications including BBC Radio 4 and the Guardian. Her debut poetry collection Blood Salt Spring (Polygon) was nominated for a Saltire Prize in 2022, her second collection Unwritten Woman was published by Polygon in August.

Thabo Mokolobate is a South African lyricist passionate about the infinite power of Poetry. He is a writer, performer, and spoken word Artist. Thabo writes about various subject matters like love, behaviour and belief through the eyes of ordinary citizens. He works with music and poetry, and often steps out the idea of conventional poetry. More importantly he enjoys the process of working and collaborating with individuals from different practices including music, theatre and dance.
