Workshop: Highland Fiddle & Pipe Tunes

with Séamus Ó’Baoighill | Northern Streams 2026

(Sat 18 Apr: 12pm)

From the Isle of Skye, Séamus Ó’Baoighill has been playing Scottish traditional music from a young age on fiddle and pipes and was the youngest member to have entered Sgoil Chiùil na Gàidhealtachd by age 11. He furthered his music at Queens University Belfast and most recently completed his masters degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He was a finalist in the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2015 award. He will share some of his favourite tunes in this workshop.

Séamus will also be performing on Fri 17 Apr as part of Cuan a Tuath and playing for the ceilidh on Sat 18 Apr, ticketed separately. For the full list of events and more details about the performers, check out the Northern Streams website.
