Alba & Èirinn: Bùth-obrach Òrain is Sgeulachdan na Fèinne | Scotland & Ireland: Songs and Stories of the Fianna
World Gaelic Week 2025

As part of Seachdain na Gàidhlig 2025 (World Gaelic Week), join Scottish Gaelic singer Màiri MacMillan and Irish Gaelic storyteller and singer Gráinne Holland for an online workshop exploring songs and stories of Finn MacCool and his band of warriors, the Fianna, which form part of the shared Gaelic cultural traditions of Scotland and Ireland.
Màiri and Gráinne will explore a selection of songs and stories related to some of the key characters in the Finn tradition, focussing primarily on Diarmaid and Grainne and their doomed love story.
This is a trilingual event in English with story and song content in Gaelic and Irish. No prior knowledge of Scottish Gaelic or Irish is required to attend, everyone welcome!
