Workshop: Creative Approaches to Dementia-Inclusive Storytelling
with Jan Bee Brown (Presented by the Scottish Storytelling Forum)
(Sat 16 May: 10:30am)
Sharing stories with people living with dementia is a creative and collaborative practice.
Whether you are a care partner, a storyteller or work/volunteer in the third sector or a residential care setting, this workshop will give you the tools to make a story resonate with neurologically diverse audiences and ensure your creative event is dementia inclusive.
Jan Bee Brown is a storyteller with ten years of experience shaping and sharing stories for dementia-inclusive events such as Raven Tales (Scottish International Storytelling Festival 2024/2025). Jan currently manages a Dementia Meeting Centre at the Heart of Newhaven Community where she combines person-centred storytelling with music and crafting to build resilience in times of change.
