FloWriting: Let it out. Let life back in.
(Sat 21 Nov: 9:30am & 11:30am)
We live our lives in waves. Changes in family, relationships, work, our bodies and our identity can accumulate - some chosen, some not. We keep going, but the things we haven’t put into language can keep taking up space in our thoughts, pulling us back into the past rather than allowing us to be fully present in the life happening now.
This practical 75-minute workshop introduces FloWriting: a simple way of putting what’s inside into words and letting it flow out. Unlike journalling, FloWriting isn’t about reflecting on or analysing your thoughts, or trying to make sense of them as you write. It’s uncensored, unedited and unconstrained. The value is in the writing, not the words you have written.
Drawing on decades of research that underpins this form of writing, Caroline will explore what FloWriting is - and isn’t - and how to practice it safely, so you can free up more space in your mind and body.
You’ll try a few short exercises to experience the method for yourself. You won’t be asked to write about difficult experiences from your past or to share anything you write. Instead, you’ll leave knowing how to use FloWriting privately, when the time and place feel right for you. Pens and paper will be provided.

Her life and career have been shaped by waves of change and transformation - from three decades helping organisations and thousands of people navigate change at work, to moving through some of life’s breakers, swells and ripples herself. It was through her own experience that she discovered the research behind this particular approach to writing, and its potential to help us let go of the past and live more fully in the present.
